Oriflame is looking for a Sr. Art Director to work in the newly formed Global Brand and Sales Communication team within the Creative Services department. The team will be responsible for setting the over all art direction and establish the tone of the Oriflame brand, based on the new brand platform. The team will develop the communication for all brand and internal communication needs, as well as all brand collateral, sales materials, and event concepts. The team will work closely with all internal stakeholder ensuring that their needs are taken into consideration at an early conceptual stage.

The team will, in addition to this role, consist of one Sr. Copywriter, two art directors/designers, a production manager and Global Brand and Sales Communication manager, who leads the team.

The team as a whole will ensure that Oriflame communicates one story. That all concepts and messages are in harmony with each other supporting the overall brand and communications strategy, creating a strong and clear brand over time. This will be valid across all products, channels, regions and target audiences.

The responsibility of the Sr. Global Art Director:

The Sr. Art Director will be a key player in generating concepts and ideas for the Oriflame brand communication campaigns, taking the lead in setting and maintaining the over all visual appearance of all creative concepts.

Partner with the many internal stake holders and work especially close with the Oriflame Strategy team, Internal Communications and Global Direct Sales.

The Sr. Art Director will partner efficiently with the Sr. Copywriter, delivering outstanding concepts that are on brand, commercially viable and attractive to the target audience.

• The Sr. Global Art Director will be a key contributor in brainstorming sessions where the creative concepts for strategic brand campaigns, sales communication, and event concepts are set.

The Sr. Art Director will be responsible for developing storyboards or mood boards, to facilitate the stakeholders understanding and approval of the creative concept.

The Sr. Art Director will be an integral part of pitching the idea to the internal clients and stakeholders, ensuring approval of the creative concept before taking the ideas into execution within the team.

The Sr. Art Director will act as a mentor and role model to the Art Directors/Designers in the team, encouraging continued learning and experience sharing.

The Sr. Global Art Director will support the Photo & Video team with creative direction on major photo- and video shoots. This will include briefing photographers, videographers, stylists, and model bookers. Overseeing location selection and participating in the actual shoots. For regular launches the Sr. Global Art Director will support and supervise the Art Directors in the Creative Services team in these tasks.

The Sr. Global Art Director will partner effectively with other departments and teams to ensure delivery and approval of concepts that are on brief, on-time, and of high-quality, that address internal client challenges and meet business objectives. Setting and ensuring the company’s standard for creative excellence and timeliness.

You are curious of new thoughts and alternative perspectives, always a source of fresh ideas, constantly seeking new angles and avenues to explore. At the same time you understand the demanding reality of requests for revisions.
You have a well-developed commercial sense and you can easily link brand strategy to sales success.
You are proactive with a feeling for what others need, before they do. You have a strong belief in the importance of consumer insight and always base your ideas on the needs and state of mind of the target audience. You strive for simplicity in all communications, always pushing the boundaries beyond what you have accomplished in the past. You communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
As a person you are a service minded person with an outgoing, positive and flexible attitude towards your work and your colleagues. You embrace and understand the world of beauty and fashion and keep yourself well updated of trends and competitors.
You have an excellent eye for detail, a track record of great design and art direction. You have experience working in fast paced demanding environment and understand consumer and brand behaviour. And, how those insights inform design.
You can both take and offer constructive criticism and thrive when collaborating and working as a team.

Qualifications:

Must have:
– A degree in advertising, communications, design, graphic arts, photography, or fine arts
– Min 10 years experience working with graphic design, art direction, film and photography
– Min 7 years experience as an Art Director
– Proven conceptual ability
– Strong portfolio and track record of delivering creative that successfully met the business and communication objectives set in the strategy or brief
– Experienced user of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, PowerPoint and other relevant programs

Preferable:
– Global citizen, having lived, studied or worked in 2-3+ countries
– Industry experience from FMCG / Beauty / Direct Sales
– Experienced in working in an inhouse agencies
– Event and conference experience
– Preferably one additional language besides english or swedish (swedish is not mandatory)
